Welcome to Michigan Foster Care Closet!

MFCC is frequently contacted by families who currently have foster children placed in their homes.

These children tend to come with only the clothing on their backs. That’s where we come in!! We currently provide clothing, shoes, toys, linens, nursery furniture, strollers, car seats, school supplies, hygiene products, safety equipment, and more, to foster children and their families FREE of charge. Clothing children with confidence and self-esteem is what we strive for, with each and every child that walks through our doors.

Open Hours:

Tuesdays: 9:30am – Noon
Wednesdays: 5:30pm – 8:00pm
Saturdays: 10:30am – 1:00pm

Shopping:

We allow in-person shopping. Please click here to book your appointment! If a child has newly been placed in your care and they’re in need of immediate assistance, please call or email us. Follow us on Facebook for current updates!

Guidelines

Donations will only be accepted on the 2nd Saturday of each month during our open hours!
Thank you for not leaving donations outside our back door when we are closed.
Please email us if you are unsure about your donations.
You do not need an appointment to bring in donations.
We do not accept suitcases or used stuffed animals.
Please bring your donated items in trash bags, as storing and recycling cardboard boxes is difficult for us.
Any textile donation that we cannot use (adult style, stained, worn, or ripped clothing) can be placed in the blue bins outside, in our parking lot.
